Thank you for taking the time to check out the
Camp Pendleton Officers' Wives Club website!
Welcome to the Camp Pendleton Officers’ Wives’ Club! The mission of the OWC is to foster friendship and promote goodwill among OWC members, and to support social, educational, and community projects in and around Camp Pendleton.
We believe in service to self, service to each other, service to the community, and service to the future. The Camp Pendleton OWC was chartered on January 8, 1952. In 2006, the OWC achieved official status as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, exempt from federal income tax, under Tax ID #51-0187547.
There are several components to the OWC. First, there is the social component. We coordinate monthly social events at a variety of locations in an effort to bring OWC members together for socialization and networking opportunities. Our events include, but are not limited to; mid-day luncheons, evening dinner/wine pairings, bunco with prizes, holiday ornament exchange, Margaritaville auction and a military “dining in”.
The second component to the OWC is fundraising as a way to invest in the future and give back to the community. The OWC has several fundraising functions during the year in which we raise money for our scholarships and community enrichment grant fund. Last year, the OWC awarded $35,000 to graduating high school seniors and undergraduates attending college. Scholarship recipients included individuals such as; military spouses and sons/daughters of active duty, retired or deceased Marines and Sailors. Community enrichment grant recipients included organizations that support the Camp Pendleton military community. We granted money to organizations such as: Big Brothers & Big Sisters, Camp Pendleton YMCA, Injured Marine Semper Fi Fund, REINS Therapeutic Horsemanship and United Through Reading.
The Camp Pendleton Officers’ Wives’ Club is a wonderful organization that provides socialization, fellowship and an opportunity to give back to our community and its members.
We look forward to continuing our long tradition of service to the community.
